Visitation: Thursday December 27, 2012 1-8 p.m. at the stinson Funeral Home 1939 S. Fort street at Schaefer.
Funeral: Friday December 28 2012 Family Hour 10:30 A.M. Funeral: 11:00 A.M. at the Stinson Funeral Home 1939 S. Fort Street.
A.D. Ursery was born October 28, 1937 the fourth of fourteen children to the late Mattie and James Ursery, Sr. in Widener, Arkansas. Five brothers, James, Jimmy, Johnny, TJ and JC Ursery preceded him in death.
He professed a life in Christ at an early age and united with the Widener Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
A.D. moved to Detroit in 1968. There he was united in holy matrimony on october 30, 1969 to Mary Phillips.
He worked for Vulcan Mold Iron for 21 years, and McCloud Steel for 7 years.
A.D. departed this life on December 19, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. in Wyandotte Hospital.
A.D. had one son that preceded him in death, Anthony (Denise) Taylor.
A.D. leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Mary Ursery, 6 children Linda Taylor, Dwyan (Sabrina) Ursery, Sharon (Marvin) Dale, Sylvester (Sherrie) Patterson, Deshaun (Michelle) Ursery and Andrew Ursery along with 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildre, his sibling Robert (Toocie) Ursery, Theodis (Frances) Ursery, Willie Ursey, Sylvester (Ann) Ursery
