Alma Louise McLamore was the third of seven children born to Homer and Annie W. Wallace. She was born June 30, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents and four siblings preceded her in death.

Alma was a product of the Detroit Public School System, Sampson, McMichael and Northwestern High School. She retired in 1984 from Wayne County employment after 30 years of service.

Alma was joined in Holy Matrimony to William McLamore August 2, 1947. To this union two children were born; Janis and Dennis. Alma and Mac devoted their lives to raising their children, giving them good family values.

Alma accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Stephens A.M.E. Church where she served in various positions to honor her God. In youth church, the word was be quiet Mrs. Mac is watching us. In senior church she joined the Stewardess Board and was president of board #3 for many years The word was the same, do it right, Mrs. McLamore is watching you.
