Obituary

Viewing Tuesday April 17, 2012 from 1PM until 8PM at the Stinson Northwest Chapel located 16540 Meyers Road at the John Lodge Fwy. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012 11:00AM in the Chapel of the Stinson Funeral Home, with a 10:30AM Family Hour. Final Disposition of the Remains is Cremation.

Alvin Leon Troupe, Jr. was the second of three children blessed to the union of the late Eugenia and Alvin Troupe, Sr. on Juky 31, 1942. Both of his siblings, Patricia and Nelson preceded him in death.

alvin's early school years were in St. louis. the family relocated to detroit, Michigan when he was eight years old. He attended Central High school before entering the United States Navy. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Michigan and began his career with the Ford Motor Company, where he worked at the River Rouge, Highland Park Plant and the Sterling Plant until he retired with a combined total of 35 years.

Alvin met a young woman named Wanda M. Trotter and from their union he received a wonderful son, Robert. He was very proud of his son as a man, son, husband and father. Alvin enjoyed traveling and seeing the counrty with his wife. He also enjoyed visiting the casinos walking Belle Isle and spending time with the Ford Motor Retirees Breakfast Club members.

Alvin loved the times he spent with his grandchildren for they gave him great joy and pride. Friends and family meant more to Alvin than anything.

Alvin leaved to mourn his passing and cherish his memory: his devoted and beloved wife, Wanda; son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Lanita; grandchildren, Allantae, TaNae, and TaeLan; nephews, Phillip Bell (Tammie) and Avery Trotter (Jin) and their fsmilies; niece, Dionna; brother-in-law, Bruce Lee; sisters-in-law, Shirley Trotter and Shirley Quinn and their families; childhood friends. Alvin's friend and companion, Sir Elmo.
