"M. Annette Barzey was born in Detroit, Michigan to Jack B. Kennedy and Mattie Mildred Alexander (Johnson) on February 24, 1949.

She received her education from the Detroit Public School system, graduating from Northwestern High School Class of 1967. On March 23,1964 Annette was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She courageously weathered ridicule and opposition. She fearlessly preached to all that would lend her an ear. A true pioneer and testimony to her God Jehovah. Because of her dedication many were aided to learn of God's Promises to rid this earth of wickedness and this earth to a Global paradise. A message she shared right to her end.

She married John Barzey (who preceded her in death, 2008) from the British Isle of Plymouth, Montserrat in February of 1976 and was blessed with their daughter Camille A. Barzey of Detroit, MI.

She worked as a Secretary for Detroit Public Schools and then later as Legal Secretary for Attorney General of Michigan, Governor Jennifer Granholm.   Annette prided herself for her time spent as a co-business owner of Dancercise Aerobic Dance Studio and owner of Annette's Home Baking Company, where she excelled at baking cakes, cookies, pies, and more.

Annette is preceded in death by her father, Jack B. Kennedy, her sister Cynthia Kennedy-Roberts and brother Larry B. Kennedy. Annette is survived by her daughter Camille A. Barzey, brothers Jack B. Kennedy Jr, Michael C. Kennedy and Steven E. Kennedy (Jennifer) her sisters Annie Ruth Sherrod and Kathy J. Stokes (Ronell) her mother Mattie

Mildred Alexander, her grandchildren Alyssa K. Smith and Cayden A. Cotton. Annette has had many nieces, nephews and cousins that have shown tremendous support during her bed of illness, and to them we will always be grateful. For the loving support of the many family and friends, the calls, the cards, the meals and the many other ways in which you have provided, we thank you."
