Bailey Barr was born October 23, 1923 in Summer County, Tennessee. He was one of nine children born to Bill "Carter" Barr and Maude Malone.

Mr. Barr served in Word War II as a medic and received and honorable discharge. He later worked for the Veterans Administration in Allen Park, Michigan. It was there he met an EKG technician named Tessie O'Bryant. He bought a nickel candy bar for her and with his charm and handsome good looks, Tessie later said yes to marriage on April 1963.

Mr. Barr was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his family. He retired in the early 1980's and the Lord blessed him with many years after his hard work.

Baily Barr made his journey into the Lord's hands on June 12, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Tessie of more than 30 years; parents Bill "Carter" Barr and Maude Malone; sister Elizabeth Drake; and brothers Bernard (who died in childhood), Richard, Winston, Edward and his twin brother, Bennie.

He survived by: his son Michael Barr, Sr.(Linda); sisters Roberta Gardner and Virginia Black; grandchildren Michael Barr, Jr. and Johnathan Barr; step-grandchildren Chloe and Aidan Stone; special niece Tina Barr-Pina (whom he considered like a daughter) special niece and nephew Geraldine Shepard and Bennie Barr (Whom he helped raise); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that he held clos to his heart.
