Beatrice 'Bea' Butler was the fourth child born to the late Jessie and Bessie Garland on December 21,1925. She migrated to Ecorse, Michigan with her family in 1944. Two brothers Julius and Frank, along with two sisters Ozell and Thelma preceded her in death.
Beatrice was united in holy matrimony to the late William Butler Sr., in 1953, from this union four children were born, William Butler Jr. preceded her in death.
Beatrice made Christ her Lord at an early age. She joined First Baptist Church in Ecorse, Michigan and later beacame one of the orignal members of Pine Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Joe Davis, where she carried out her membership. While at Pine Grove she served actively and faithfully as a member of the Inspirational Chorus until her health began to fail.
Beatrice dedicated her life to care for others. Beatrice believed in always putting family first in everything. She would open her doors to anyone that came to her house.
Beatrice enjoyed working at Oakwood Hospital making her patients comfortable as their caregiver. Beatrice always stated she hoped someone would be there to are for her family members the same way.
Beatrice made her transition on July 19,2014, peacefully at the home of her daughter. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three daughters Linda Graves, Machelle (Kevin), and Vlaerie (Tracy) Goodloe; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; a sister Eunice (Ira) Jackson, a sister-in-law Eunice Garland, along with a host of nieces and nephews relatives and very close friends that assisted the family with her care in life.
