Brandon A. Collins was born July 9, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan to Nicole Fields and Kenya Collins. One of the best and brightest in school, he was an honor student who enjoyed music, basketball, and art. He was also the smartest young man in the church, having earned the pastors' highest honor-the "Vollie Jordan Award"-at Union Grace Baptist Church.
Brandon was very respectful to his elders. You could argue or fuss at him and he never uttered a word or backtalk. He was also a jokester and could measure up to his 100-watt smile...a smile that could light up the dark night skies.
Young children were naturally drawn to him especially those in his family. They looked up to him as if he was their super-hero. But they weren't the only ones who enjoyed being around him.
Brandon was a well rounded young man who could be just as comfortable hanging out with his peers (who lovingly called him Lil B) or chit-chatting with his elder family members.
During his great-grandfather's final illness, he and his cousin Jaron were constant caregivers. Brandon would sit and talk with his Granddad for hours, and he offered full support to his grandmother during this difficult time. This is just one example that illustrates how Brandon was always there for his family.
We all love Brandon, but God loves him best,so he sent his angels to take him home. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother and father; devoted stepfather Marvin; 2 sisters Taniyah and Myesha; 4 brothers Jawan, Christian, Davion and his adoring baby brother Marquis; loving grandparents Sandra, Deborah, and Kenneth; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
