Ned Jenkins Jr. was born on July 2, 1913 to the late Rev.Ned and Viola Jenkins. Ned was the 2nd oldest of nine children. Ned had five sisters: Julia Jenkins, Mary Jenkins, Ola Jenkins (Butler), Mildred Jenkins (Jones) and Eva Jenkins which proceded him in death also he had three brothers: Charles Jenkins, James Jenkins and Bernard Jenkins which also proceded him death. Ned was called home on October 3, 2014.

Ned was born in Atlanta GA. He accepted Christ at an early age and later became an Ordained Minister. He was married to Odessa Jenkins which proceded him in death, they were married for sixty six years. Ned was a Veteran which he served two years in the United States Army. He was also a reitred Postal Worker.

Ned was a Deacon at New Light Baptist Church where he loved singing with the Male Core Choir and Sons of Thunder Choir. He worked with the Bible For Youth and Married Couple Programs. He also loved being with his church family and friends. Ned loved to go fishing, traveling, baseball and cooking.

He leaves to cherish: one sister-in-law, Hattie Williams and one brother-in-law, Daniel Allen (Gloria), one god daughter Annette Vann, a special friend Deacon Charles Williams which was like a son to him, a special niece Elaine Booker(Cookie), also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
