Dorothy Ann Brown was born March 29, 1935 in Mobile, Alabama the oldest of 8 children. Preceded in death by her parents Wright and Daisy Campbell, Son Carl Davis Sr., Husband Horace Davis, Sisters Barbara Mims and Yvonne Campbell.

She was educated in the Detroit Public School System. At an early age in life Dorothy professed a hope in Christ. She was a member of Liberty Temple worship center for many years. Dorothy was united in Holy matrimony to Horace Daniel Davis for 60 years until his death on March 19, 2011 to this union four children were born. During the course of her life Dorothy worked for several companies, Fiber steel, Bostford Inn, Standard Paint Co., and Total Building Industries. Dorothy loved family gatherings, shopping for bargains, going for long rides, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in sports and activities. She was an encouragement to everyone big or small with the heart of love she listened to all. Mrs. Dorothy Ann Davis departed this life of Friday July 24, 2014 at 4:20 am surrounded by family.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: 3 children Debra, Brenda, Ronald (Angel): one daughter in-law Cassandra Davis; four sisters Gladys Foster, Bernadine Bell, Elaine Campbell, Earlene Tolliver; 1 brother Wright Campbell; two brothers in-law Spencer Mims and Earnest Foster: 9 grandchildren Carl Jr., Cardell (Monique) Shelton (Raquel), CuJuan, Shaneika, Renard, Lance, Brittany (Stephen), Charnae';15 great-grand children; A special cousin, Betty Butler; Dear friends Pamela Cook, Jean Young, Ethel Watkins, Charlie Mae; Long time neighbors; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
