Dorothy Lucille Williams Terry, affectionately known as "Lukie" was born May 28,1956 in Attalla, Al. to EmmaWilliams and Billy Jones. She moved to Detroit as an infant and was educated in Detroit Public Schools; she attended Mark Chusen and Krolick elementary, Joy Middle, and Cass Tech High School where she graduated in 1974. After high school Dorothy attend Eastern Michigan University, in Ypsilanti, Mi..

During her young adult years, she worked at Chandler Park Golf Course, Belle Isle Children's Zoo and The Detroit Zoo. Dorothy eventually chose a career as a phlebotomy tech at Detroit Receiving Hospital where she worked for 18 years.

In the early 1980's Dorothy married Vincent Terry there were no children born from this union. On April 22,1993, Gos blessed Dorothy and Horace Armstrong, whom she loved dearly. She also has a sister, Tranella Ann Williams, who preceded her in death.

Lukie enjoyed spending time with her daughter, reading, sewing, cooking, and baking. Dorothy was raised in the Church of God on Christ. She sang inthe choir, participated in Purity Class, Young People Willing Workers (YPWW) and lots of cake walks.

On September 3,2014 God called Dorothy home. She leaves to cherish her memory , her loving daughter Ta'Neesha, her mother, Emma Williams, two nephews, Luther (Shirley) and Maurice, seven great nephews, a friend, Leonard Fenderson, a special aunt, Laura Edwards ans a host of other aunts, cousins, and friends.
