Vistation Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 1PM until 8PM at Stinson Funeral Home Southwest Chapel located at 1939 South Fort Street Detroit, Michigan 48217. Funeral Service will be Friday May 24, 2013 at Unity Baptist Church 7500 Tireman Street Detroit, Michigan 48204 Service is 11:00AM. Final Disposition is at United Memorial Garden Cemetery

Dorothy Mae Wilson was born October 10, 1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana the first of two children born to Frankie and Henry Anderson. Her parents, her husband Lloyd Wilson, brother Edward (Jolly) Anderson his wife Ruby, her daughter Jacqueline Susan Pollard and a grandson Damon Sabbath preceded her in death.

Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the Galilee Baptist Church of Shreveport.

Dorothy received her early educaation in West Shreveport Elementary and Central Colored High Schools of Caddo Parish.

Upon moving to River Rouge, Dorothy united with the Union Second Baptist Church, later transferring to the Unity Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan where she served as an Usher, member of the Prayer Band, A Deaconess, a member of the Consolidation Choir and the Mother's Board.

Dorothy was employed at Sears and Southwest Hospital from which she retired.

On September 24m 1990, Dorothy married the love of her life, Lloyd B. Wilson, she was a faithful and loving wife until his demise August 4, 1998. She loved to travel and together they traveled to many parts of the U.S. with the Unity Baptist Church and the National Centralities of which both were members.

On Friday May 17th, 2013 at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigab She took God's hand and traveled to her heavenly home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter Patricia Ann Martin, a son, Michael (Donna) Sabbath; son-in-law, Marmon (Tony) Pollard iii; four grandchildren, Chanita, Amyre, Melissa and Danielle; four great grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Darin, Jason and Jaden; two God-children Deza Sanders and Gloria Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, firends and the Unity Baptist Church Family.
