On December 1, 1933, John and Mary Lee Jackson gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Paul, the youngest of the Jackson six.

Paul began his education in the Highland Park School system. Although, he only obtained a high school diploma and two yeaars of college; he instilled within our children, nieces and nephews, a strong desire for higher education.

Paul served in the United States Army. He was a faithful employee of the United States Postal Service, where he retired after 22 years.

Paul and I met for the first time at Northland Mall. He was out shopping with his brother, David and sister-in-law, Bety. He was looking good, wearing some tight pants, and had a big Afro. He starter visiting our church and later joined; and then the courtship began. We had good conversations, we talked about the Lord, and he shared his past life and his determination of being a blessing to others by sharing the word of God. I allowed him to do as the word of God says, "Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord" Proverbs 18:22. He found me and I was glad; we were married with children. I affectionately called him "Charlie," and we were inseperable. He was my best friend.

Paul was a member at Greater Northwest Church of God in Christ with his brother David, the founder: Brother Green D. Moore. He later joined Glory and Praise Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the Pastorate of his cousin, Pastor Charles Cotten, Jr. He served as one of the Associate Ministers with Pastor Cotten, then under the leadership of Pastor Krafus Walker. He often talked about being blessed to have served under the leadership of two great men of God. Paul loved good gospel music. Two of his favorite musicians were John P. Kee and the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark. He will be missed by so many.

Paul leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife of 30 years, Paulette:
loving children, Mrs.Alechia Olitt, James Andre Oaks, Byrn Eric Oaks and Eva: five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Jackson, Marsheilla Caldwell (Wilbert), and Zina Bieber; and a host of nieces, nephews and the Glory and Praise Tabernacle family. Paul's parents, John Sr., and May Lee; brothers, John, Jr., James Lee, David, Thomas; and sister, Mary all preceded him in death.
