ETHEL MAE RILEY was born March 4, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of Jessie and Neomie Riley.
Ethel was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Inkster, Michigan by Rev. Sydney L. Hampton. She attended Inkster Public Schools. She was known for her unique ballroom dancing and roller skating not to mention her love for fishing.
Ethel was employed at Ford Motor Company, Wayne Assembly Plant for a number of years. She was active in her union Local 305 at U,S, Auto Radiator from 1980 to 1990 until closing. Shortly after Ethel's health began to fail but not her faith, her son would take her to church when she was up to it and she found comfort in listening to gospel music at home.
Her faith and humor never wavered, through it all you would always hear her say "Thank You Jesus!"
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Neomie; two brothers, Pop and Isaac; and one sister, Dora Morgan.
On Thursday, June 25, 2015 at her home Ethel, quietly made her transition.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Terence and Adrian Riley; two grandsons, Adrian Jr and Terence , Jr: four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Adele Aldridge of Arlington, Virginia, Hattie Smith and Patsy L. Martin of Detroit, Michigan; four nieces, Lontina Reeder, Alicia Martin, Mia Gladden and shiela Hill; a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
