Mrs. Terry affectiontely known as "Jerry" grew up in Inkster and attended Inkster High School. She married William Goode and from this union eight children were born.

She retired from Wayne State University after twenty-three years of service. She later met and married Mr. Elmer Terry, the two of them enjoyed traveling the United States meeting people and enjoying life and each other.

After the death of her husband, she moved to the American House in Lincoln Park, and The Village Green Apartments.

Her next move was to the Heatherwood Retirement Community in Southfield. During her time there she developed many friendships.

In May 2007 she moved to Virginia Beach to live with her youngest daughter LaRita. She enjoyed being close to the ocean and sitting under the large tree in Rita's front yard.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories; her children,
Mikki Waller, Dennis H(Valerie), Alyjah Byrd-Goode,Ricky L., Sigmund R., LaRita Goode- Williams., William G.(Sandra) Goode.

Mrs. Terry is predeceased by her son Diab Goode,grandson Sigmund R. Goode jr. and her son in-law Dr. Jay Waller.

Visitation Thursday, January 10,2008 at Stinson Funeral Home 16540 Meyers 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
