Vistation Friday February 15, 2013 from 1PM until 8PM at Stinson Funeral Home Southwest Chapel located at 1939 South Fort Street Detroit, Michigan 48217. Funeral Services will be Saturday February 16, 2013 at Triumph Baptist Church 2550 Liddesdale Detroit, Michigan 48217 Service is 11:00AM with Final Disposition at: Woodmere Cemetery.

Glenda Michele Griffin was born Ocyober 15, 1954 to Thomas and Eunice Griffin in River Rouge, Michigan.

Glenda accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized by the late Reverend A.D. Boone at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in River Rouge, Michigan. She remained a faithful member of that church until her untimely death.

Glenda attended Ecorse Public Schools and graduated in 1972. She attended Michigan State University where she earned a degree in Comminications. Glenda started her professioal career in sales with Channel 4 television station. After leaving Channel 4, she went to work for Republic Airlines. She left Republic Airlines to work for Ameritech Publishing where she earned a number of awards and rose to the position of Regional Sales Manager. During her tenure at Ameritech Publishing, Glenda earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Walsh College and began her sxtudy of law at Thomas Cooley Law School. After a successful career in sales and human resources at Ameritech Publishing, Glenda left to pursue her dream of beconming an attorney. Glenda graduated from Thomas Cooley Law School with a juris doctorate degree and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2006.

While working as an attorney for Xerox Corporation, Glenda began to build her solo law practice. She remained committed to her community, drawing many of her clients from the downriver area. Always striving to be her best, one of Glenda's goals was to become a judge.

Although she had no children, Glenda doted on her nieces and nephews. With her warm and engaging personality, many of the friendships she established in college and with co-workers endure today.

Glenda made her transition on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Eunice Griffin, and her brothers, Charles E. Griffin, Thomas L. Griffin and Marlon D. Griffin.

Glenda leaves to cherish her memory; four sisters, Ann Verlene Winters, Pamela E. Griffin, Shirley J. Hill, and Judy D. Griffin, brother; Calvin L. Griffin, two sister-in-laws; Saundra Griffin and Joyce Griffin, nephews John, Anthony and Andre Winters (Beatrice), Thomas Ali Griffin, Delorean Griffin (Tiffany), Aadam Griffin (Ebony) and Aaron Jacobs, nieces Arvita Cleveland and Erica Hill, special cousins, Doris and Michael Saulsberry, and a host of other relatives and friends.
