Henry Sylvester Parker was born May 22, 1936, to Milo "Toule" Parker and Mattie Bell Parker, in Jones, Alabama. Henry was the third eldest of eight siblings.

Henry gave his life to Christ at an early age, and was educated in the Autaugaville School system in Jones, Alabama.

As a young man, Henry came to Detroit, Michigan in the early 1960's
He became employed at various jobs until he settled on being a delivery truck driver for twenty years. He then Made a career change into construction from Willie McCormick Construction.

Henry enjoyed bowling, fishing, and home remodeling, where he especially loved to build bars and entertainment areas in homes. After retiring. Henry enjoyed being the neighborhood jitney and local convenience store on wheels, where he sold a little bit of everything while giving free advice and life lessons earning the nickname "Mayor of Vinewood."

In 1982Henry met and fell in love with Sandra Harris, whom he affectionately called "San", and the late married and enjoyed thirty-three years together. San was a devoted and loving wife who stood beside and took care of her husband during all of his health challenges.

On June 17, Henry made his transition to be with the Lord. His oldest grandson; parents, Milo "Toule" Parker and Mattie Bell Parker; and three siblings preceded him in death. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sandra; five children, Barry, Nicole, Dwayne, Dedhune, and Jaynelle; three special grandchildren, Essence, Dashawn, and Deshune, Jr.; four brother, Curtis, Lewis, Printes, and Leslie "Bobby," four sisters-in-law, Beverly, Jean Jeanette, and Sheryl; a very special cousin, Etta Hatcher of Jones, Alabama; two brothers-in-law, Gregory (Sharon) and Royce (Tina); one special nephew whom he helped raise, Damone Jr, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
