Henryce Brown, better known as "Rece" was the 3rd child born to the late Willie and Mattie Moore on August 4, 1029 in Carroll County, Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age at Summerfield Baptist Church and lived her life anchored in the Lord.
She moved to Detroit in 1947 with her parents and eight sisters and brothers of which seven preceded her in death. She attended school in Carroll County, Mississippi, and Northwestern High school in Detroit She became a member of True Love Missionary Baptist church in 1948 and served in many capacities. She served as a member of the Chancellor Choir, Senior Choir, Usher Board and was the Appointment Clerk as well as on the Maintenance Staff for 35 years.
She met the love of her life, Niree Brown who preceded her in death. (they were married for 61 wonderful years). To this union one son was born, Norman Maceo Brown.
Rece loved to cook, cater events, solve crossword puzzles, travel and serve the Lord.
She leaves sweet and lasting memories for her son Maceo, sisters; Claudine McElheney (Joe), Florine Marzette (Jesse), of Detroit, Michigan, and brother Arthur Moore (Doris) od Seale, Alabama.
Rece also leaves a granddaughter Welena Brown, grandson Maceo Brown, and four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family
