Our beloved mother,grandmother, great-grand mother and aunt, Ida B. Beard, age 80, went on to be with the Lord on Monday, September 29,2014. She was born February 5,1934, in Ackerman Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Hattie Brown Fox and Paul Ledbetter. Ida accepted Christ at an early age. She hada smile that would light up the darkest room. She enjoyed her family, traveling to visit family out of town, her grandchildren and friends. Ida enjoyed growing beautiful flowers in the spring and play bid wiz. Our mom was one of the best cooks of all times. She was known for making the best turkey and dressing potatoe salad, greens, sweet potatoe pies, banana pudding, and devil eggs. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially in the kitchen on holidays.

She married Willie Frank Beard on October 28,1952. She leaves to cherish her memory a husband, one sister-in-law Matra Lee Estes, best friend Howard(Bojack) Duncan and seven children that she loved dearly; Willie Robert Beard(Karen) Tampa,Fl.,Doris Jean Hill, Mary Sue Beard, Joyce Ann Foster, Brenda Lee Jones Of Detroit, Mi., Sherri Renee Jackson(Leon) of Saginaw, Mi., Denise Beard (Carlos) of Detroit, Mi., twenty three grand children, eighteen great-grand children, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ida was the last surviving member of her Fox family. She is preceded in death by her mother Hattie, father Paul, two brothers Earl Lee Fox and Nathanial Fox, and a sister Ellen Jewel Brown. Our mother has gone to join her family in heaven.
