Jean D Becton departed this life July 13,2014 in Detroit Michigan.
She was born to the union of Floyd and Minnie Lee Hopkins of Tifton, Geogia.
Jean graduated from Tift County high School. She then attended Morris Brown College in Alanta, Geogia. She later transferred to Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where she earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees. Jean taught in the Detroit Public School System until her retirement.
On December 26,1958 Jean married Charlie Becton, to this union three sons were born Darren, Dwayne and Duane(deceased). Jean also had three brothers Floyd, Marion and John who all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Charlie; her sons, Darren and Dwayne; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her sister, Annie Akers (Ralph); brother in law, Roscoe Walker (Ora Mae); sister in law, Liz Becton (Amos); nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
