Viewing Thursday February 14, 2013 from 1PM until 8PM at the Stinson Northwest Chapel Located 16540 Meyers Rd. at the John Lodge Fwy. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:30AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Homes. Family Hour is 10AM. Interment: Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Joseph Hendricks, Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 18, 1945 to the union of Joseph Hendricks, Sr. and Irene Winlfield-Hendricks.
Joseph confessed Christ at a early age. He was baptized at Trinity Episcopal Church where he served as Alter Boy.
He was educated in the Detroit Public school system at Western High School. He was drafted in the United States Army in 1964 and served in Germany.
He was employed at several jobs and spent the majority of time at Michigan Bell.
In his spare time Joe enjoyed talking with friends and spent endless hours at the Detroit Main Library reading all kinds of books and newspaper articles.
Joe had a mean sweet tooth, and he loved to eat. Joe had a thousand and one ideas about business.
Joe's soul took flight on the wings of angels at 5:15 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2013. Waiting to greet his were his parents Joseph and Irene, brothers; Frederick, and Gregory, Sister; Rosa, Aunt; Mozella, and cousins Harvey and Elenora.
Left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing; brothers Donald Hendricks, and Jeffrey Hendricks, sisters: Joann Markham, Alexis Hendricks and Debbie Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews loving cousins and friends.
