Vistation Tuesday January 29, 2013 from 3PM until 8PM at Stinson Funeral Home Southwest Chapel located at 1939 South Fort Street Detroit, Michigan 48217. Funeral Services will be Wednesday January 30, 2013 at International Gospel Center 375 Salliotte Street Ecorse, Michigan 48229 Service is 10:30AM with Final Disposition at: United Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Malinda Ann Graham was born to the union of the late James Howard Perkins and Annie Ruth Perkins on May May 17, 1949. Malinda accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized. She grew up in a very loving household and attended high school at Cass Technical High School and Chadsey. Malinda met and fell in love with Calvin Monroe Graham and they were married on August 11, 1967.

Malinda attended Wayne County Community College as well as the University of Michigan. She held positions as a substitute teacher and a unit clerk at Sinai Hospital. Malinda was employed for 18 years at the Internal Revenue Service. During her tenure, she held various positions and worked her way up to Quality Review Specialist. In 1990, she started her own business, Northstar West Tax and Accounting Inc..

During her 23 years as CEO, Malinda serviced thousands of loyal clients. She also taught countless tax preparations classes for both the Accounting Aid Society and Voulenteer Income Tax Association (VITA), and conducted seminars for the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARF).

Malinda loved to travel and take cruises. An avid bowler, she was a member of the Plum Hollow Bowling League for many years. Malinda also enjoyed reading and playing Angry Birds. She was affectionately known as "Ma" to those with whom she came in contact. Malinda treated everyone with love and her door was always open. She was also known for her sarcasm and quick will.

Malinda went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Malinda was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Calvin Monroe Graham; her father, James Howard Perkins; and her brothers Eric and David Perkins. She is survived by her mother; Annie Ruth Perkins; children; Steven Graham, Andrea Jackson (Ronald), Eric Graham (Keturrah), Jason Graham, and Erika Parker (Gabriel); brother, Anthony Perkins; sisters; Diane Powell, Marie Hall, Jacquelyn Perkins, and Tonya Perkins (Jeffery Adams); grandchildren; Calvin "Jazz", Devin, Eric Jr., Eriona, Makayla, Micah, I'Yani, and Keri; goddaughter, Stephanie Hunt; father and mother-in-law, Garfield and Phyllis Graham; sister-and brothers-in-law, Victor, Marilyn, Rhonda (Harold), Lee, Lawrence (Jacquinne), Patricia (Elliott), Jay (Pricilla), and Christopher (Arlene); and a host of nieces and nephews.
