Memorial Services will be held Friday June 21, 2013 at 2PM in the Stinson Northwest Chapel Located 16540 Meyers Road at the John Lodge Fwy. Final Disposition of the Remains is Cremation.

Peggy Lee Hightower was born August 26, 1952, to the blessed union of Mazie and the late Blannie Hightower in Detroit, Michigan. She was the youngest of four children. Two siblings, Melvin Hightower and Rose Hightower preceded her in death.

Peggy acceoted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Peggy attended Northwestern High School and enjoyed music and dance. She graduated in 1971, and later attended Macomb Community College.

On June 3, 1982, along with Willie Hale, Peggy gave birth to her first and only child, April Monique Hightower.

Peggy was famously known for her BBQ's and "fried chicken" and hospitality. She enjoyed being around family and friends.

Peggy leaves to cherish her loving memory: on daughter, April Hightower; a wonderful husband of twenty-two years, Dwayne Avery Sr.; her mother, Mazie Hightower; sister, Ocie Foster; two stepchildren, Dwayna Avery and Dwayne Avery, Jr; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
