Robert Earl Irvin was the oldest born to the late Luke Irvin, Sr. and Ophelia (Penny) Irvin on August 2, 1943 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His brother Luke Irvin, Jr. preceded him in death.

The family eventually moved to Detroit, Michigan where Robert attended the Detroit Public High Schools, graduating from Northwestern High. After attending two years at Kentucky State University. he went on to serve his country in te United States Army. Upon his discharge, he became and employee of Ford Motor Company where he retired after 43 years of service.

Robert's passion was remodeling homes and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In his spare time, he loved to watch movies, especiaazlly science fiction, suspense and action. He also enjoyed riding his bike and taking walks with his buddy, Chaos. Robert also enjoyed good conversation. He was known to stay up late talking to his cousins Granzano Gooden, Maxine Simmons, Babrara Ann Johnson and Linda Faye Watts.

Rejoicing in his memory he leaves one brother, Ralph Irvin (Judy); his fiancee, Rolanda Bynum; two sons, Marvi Sullivan and Frederick Biles (LaShay); grandchildren, Omni Sullivan, Bryan, Bryanna, Brandon and Frederick Biles, Jr.; nieces, LaTrice Thomas(Charles), Michelle Poole, Kimberly Irvin, Alecia Murray (Alandy) and Jessica Wilson; Nephewss, Ralph Irvin, Jr., Norris Sledge, John Irvin (Kanika) and Carl Biles; three aunts, Ola Maze Watts, Ollie Mae monday and Lula Mae Irvin; one uncle Charles Irvin; and a host of cousins, special nieces, mnewhews and friends.
