Mr. Roger Lee WIlliams was born August 11, 1939 in Matthews, Alabama to the late Tove Davis and the late Jones.
Roger moved to Detroit, Michigan in the late 1960's where he became an excellent roofer. He continued in that line of work for over fifty years.

Roger later met and married Ruby Mae Williams. This union was blessed with five children.

Roger departed this life on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Chris (Mack), Jerome Belser (Stephanie), Roger Lee Williams, Jr (Sheneshia), Flora and Belinda Belser; eight sisters, Ida (J.M.) Frazier, Betty Sankey, Jessie Wright, Mary Frazier and Gloria Williams all of Montgomery, Alabama, Mae Robinson, Ver Mitchum (Rick) and Jamell Davis all of Ohio and Vanita Mitchum; three brothers, Fred Williams, Jessie Williams and Tim (Shirley) Williams all of Montgomery, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; good friend and Godson Richard Richardson;and a host of special nieces and nephews, cousins, other relstives and friends.
