Ruby Beatrice Bell started her life's journey March 25th 1936. The oldest of eight children to the late Lucius and Willie E. Bell, in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Her journey brought her to River Rouge, Michigan, there at an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior under the spiritual guidance of the late Rev. A.D. at Triumph Missionary Baptist Church.
Ruby loved to sing and had the voice to do it. She sang for various churches, weddings and home goings for different friends. "The Lord's Prayer: and "He Touched Me" were her two favorite songs. Ruby sang at different functions throughtout the Metropolitan Area.
A graduate of both River Rouge High School and the Detroit School of Dentistry. a member of Nettie Carter Jackson Temple No. 1179 and a member of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Alpha Theta Chapter.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters Bettie (Ronald) Snyder of Detroit, Roberta Tolliver of Jacksonville, Florida, Joyce Sabbath oof Atlanta, Georgia, brothers: Andrew (Lois) Bell of Houston, Txas, Sppt. Ronald (Linda) Griffin, of Detroit, Michigan, brother-in-law: Reginald Robards of Detroit, sister-in-law: Darcell Dawson-Bell of Jacksonville, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
