Viewing Monday July 15, 2013 from 6PM until 8PM at the Stinson Northwest Chapel located 16540 Meyers Road at the John Lodge Fwy. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 1PM. Final Disposition of the Remains is Cremation.

RUBY IDA COLEMAN, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was called home to Glory July 6, 2013.

Ruby was born in Cuthbert, Georgia on July 13, 1943 to the parents of Moses Graham, Sr. and Georgia Mae Matthews. Growning up in a military family, she moved and lived in several cities. Ruby and her family first moved to El Paso, Texas followed by Germany where they resided for several years before finally settling in Detroit, Michigan. She resided in Detroit until moving to Fort Lauderdale.

Ruby graduated from Northwestern High School.in Detroit, MI. Ruby continued her education and she graduated Suma Cum Laude, and received an Associate Degree from Lewis College of Business. With God's help she was able to accomplish this all while singularly raising three children.

Ruby believed in hard work. She held a position as a short order cook, barmaid, secretary, security guard and finally as a Home Healthcare Aide where she gave her love and support to all her patients until she retired in 2004.

Ruby was known for her faith in God and her spirituality asd well as her kindness to others. Along with her biological children, Ruby was known as "Momma Ruby" since all of her children's friends as well as her grandchildren's friend's friends tended to "adopt" her as their "mom" or "grandma". Ruby lived by the guide of God, Family and work. Ruby always said her children and grandchildren were her life, her greatest accomplishment and her love for them knew no bounds.

Ruby is survived by her children, Vincent Graham, Revevner (DeeDee) Coleman (Ellis, Sr.), Tasha Coleman Blackwood (Fort Lauderdale); grandchildren: Mercedes Mitchell, Ellis (Buddah) Ewing, Jr. Jalen Ewing; ex-husband Ervest L. Coleman (Chicago) anad her best friend/sister in Christ Rosemary Blevins (Warren, MI), and a host of family and friends who loved her tremendously.

Ruby is preceded in death by Moses Graham, Sr, (father), Georgia Mae Matthews (Mother) Laura Graham (Stepmother), Moses Graham, Jr. (brother) and Willie GRaham (brother).
