Viewing Thursday December 19, 2013 from 1PM until 8PM at the Stinson Northwest Chapel Located 16540 Meyers Road at the John Lodge Fwy. Funeral Services will be on Friday December 20, 2013 at 11AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Family Hour is 10:30AM. Interment: Detroit Memorial Park-West.

Sylvia Louise Johnson was born on March 24, 1939 in Union, Mississippi. She was a devout Baptist until she later converted over to Catholicism at the tender age of sixteen. She was a member of St. Christopher's Parish in Detroit, MI. Sylvia graduated from Holy Ghost High School with "Honors".

She then married Louis Johnson, Jr. and moved up north, where she began her life as a wife and mother. Slyvia worked at Grace Hospital as a certified nurse's assistant for fourteen years and wanted to pursue a career in nursing. She had a love and passion for nursing, yet family life was just as important. Because of her love for a family came her beautiful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sylvia leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband: louis Johnson, Jr.; her children; Louis Miguel, Bridgett Michelle, and Mischa Katrina; her grrandchildren; Brinka Mishawn, Kianisha Leshawn, Darius Paul, Ashauna Katrice and Kria Lashelle; her great-grandchildren; Darianna, Trevion, Da'Nauria, Deaven and Zariya. She also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces,nephews, cousins and friends.

Sylvia now rests in the presence of God with those that have gone on before her. Her loving parents; Cecil Windom and Catherine Nash; son; Darryl Keith; great-grand daughter; Kamauri.
