Talford Green sr. was born November 8, 1952 to the late Velma Green and Ernest Jackson in Detroit, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his first son, Talford, Jr.

Talford attended the Detroit Public Schools and Job Corps where he received his GED and truck driving skills. From there he was employed by Chrysler Corporation for 35 years; he retired in 2008.

Talford, known as Grandfather, Green and Smaky, made friends with everyone, even if you didn't want to be his friend. He would say "ride with me," and by the time the ride was over, you would be his friend. He also sports, driving and life in general.

Talford departed this life on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 6:29 P.M. in Oakwood hospital.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving devoted wife Alfreda; a dauhter, Trimice Murphy; a step son, Kevin Murphy; stepdaughters Nyfieria and Vicky Hughes; two grandchildren, Shawnay Bowen and Shakiera Hughes; and three sisters, Marian, Jacquelin and Vonetta; as well as three sister-in-laws, four brither-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends
