In The Beginning...
On May 4, 1922 William s. Thompson, sr. was born to William Henry and Mattie Smith who proceded him in death. William was the third of four children. charles Hubert and Mildren Thompson all preceded him in deaty.

Serving God...
Williams accepted Christ at a early age.

Finding His Soul mate...

William Completed his education in Kosisko, mississippi shortly after he met and married the love of his life Alice E. Hull. Together with two beautiful children they relocated to Detroit, Michigan.

Employment and Community Service/Education...
Moving to Detroit where he found gainful employment at General Motors Corp. Retiring after 39 years William found a new passion when he went back to school to learn upholstery and later taught the class. His hobbies were fishing and word puzzlex and still made time to read the Holy Word.

William was a member at Sweet Home missionary baptist church under the leadership of the late Rev. H.R. Ramsey, Sr. In May of 1960 William and his family moved their membership to The Detroit Mt. Neby Missionary Baptist Church under the founding leadership of the late Rev. H.R. Ramsey, Jr. William stayed a faithful member under Robert E. hamilton until william took ill December 13, 2010. William was a dedicated Deacon, Superintendent of Sunday School, Sunday School teacher abd a member of the Male Chorus.

His Transition and Legacy...
William departed this life peacefuly on Sunday 10, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife; Alice E. Thompson, his children; Mary beth who preceded him in death, Alice Faye (Walter), William Jr. (Inetra), Victoria, Michael (Elaine who procedes him in death). 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. brother-in-law; harvey (Genevieve), Henery (Kim0, 2 sisters-inlaw that preceded him in death, and a host of nieces and nephews alonm with close family and friends.
