Willie Dean Rabb was born in Cuba, Alabama, on August 6, 1928. She was the last of 12 children born to Artes and Green Lightfoot.

As a small child, Willie relocated to Meridith, Mississippi, to attend St. Joseph Catholic School. She later attended Parker High School where she graduated from in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduaating from high school, Willie attended Booker T. Washington Business School.

July 21, 1947, Willie Dean Lightfoot married John Henry Rabb II. From that union, there were four children: Jerrie Dean Rabb, Aleace Rabb, Calvin Rabb, and John Henry Rabb III. As Willie and JOhn began to build their family, they relocated to Michigan to begin a new life.

Willie was a working mother for many years. She retired from Kmart's after numerous years of service. She was a loving and caring person who loved her family, and children held a special place in her heart. She loved them as they loved her; opening her heart and home to family and friends-sharing and caring for all whom she came in contact with.

On October 23, 2012, Willie went to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory: children Jerrie Dean Rabb, Aleace Rabb, Calvin Rabb, and John Henry Rabb III; two granddaughters and one grandson, Melody Cozart Hunter, Tina Cozart, Chevelle Cozart, Raymon HUnter, and the youngest, De'Ja Chapman; sibling, AmeTia L. Solid; a host of other relatives and friends. God bless you and may you rest in peace.

In addition to her parents, Willie was also preceded in death by her siblings, Corrine, Leona, Ollie, Grace, Gracie, Tom, Eddie, Joe and Dave.
